UL OPENS CATALOG OF SAFETY STANDARDS

Digitization and globalization drive change - library of more than 1,400 Standards now available to all

 It was announced that UL is now providing view-only access to most of our standards.  In case you missed it:

In order for anyone to access the view option, they need to go to the standards site, proceed as if you are purchasing a standard, Access the standard you want (508A in example below), go to the view option (register if needed). 
 
Step 1: Access the Standards Access Site:  https://ulstandards.ul.com/access-standards/
Step 2: Once you get to the site, proceed as if you are buying a standard
Step 3:  Access the Standard
Step 4:  Select Digital View
Step 5:  Register if needed

This should be fully available to the public including the AHJ community.  ​

​CERTIFICATE REPRINTING
Starting in 2023, I will be charging a $10.00 fee to reprint and email copies of any certificate. You all leave class with a certificate(s) in hand and the request for reprinting has gotten out of control.

For those renewing in NH, you can email me and ask me the date of your class at no charge. I will get back to you asap.

MA Electrical Licenses can be renewed now.
*If you renewed last cycle and nothing has changed you can log into your portal and renew now.
*If you received a new license since 2019 (including the business entity license) you need the mailing from the State Board with your authorization code to link into your portal. 
**If you moved and did not receive the mailing you can email board staff and request the code electricians.board@mass.gov  electricians.board@mass.gov ​

*Any application being submitted to PSI will need a 15 hour code update included 

BUSINESS ENTITY (A1 or C1) LICENSE
*This is in full effect.
*If you are working in MA as any form of a corporation this is for you (does not apply to journeyman).

*MA Board has just extended the expiration of school and work hours to 20 years effective immediately.
Read the full regulation 237 CMR 13
Scroll to 13.03(a)(3) and 13.05(1) & (2) for the significant changes.

If you take a 6 hour class on your own, make sure your certificate contains the following:
1.Subject matter;
2.Date of course and hours completed;
3.Course Sponsor's name;
4.Speakers name;
5.Name of attendee.

NH RENEWALS ONLINE ONLY As of 03/10/2021

RE: ONLINE RENEWALS ARE HERE!
Dear Licensee:
The Office of Professional Licensure & Certification (OPLC) is excited to announce that the agency has moved all renewal licensing applications online!
Licensees will conveniently be able to renew any time of day and processing times will be faster. Once successfully submitted, prior to expiration, the license status will be updated to active while being reviewed for approval.
Licenses are eligible for online renewal 60 days prior to expiration. Renewal notifications and license documents are now sent to you in paperless form via email from NHLicences@oplc.nh.gov  to your email address on file here, at the OPLC.
Please check the expiration date on your license and mark your calendar with a reminder 60 days prior to that date. If you do not receive an email notification with instructions and a registration code within a few days of your 60 day renewal period or have any questions regarding this notice, please email our customer support unit at customersupport@olpc.nh.gov or call one of our customer support specialists at 603.271.2152 for assistance.

*NH has  adopted the 2020 code effective 07/01/2022.
There is a 6 month grace period for projects already in the queue.
